Brian Clemenson completed a Youth Training Scheme in 1979 and went on to work as a Kennel Hand with Champion Trainer Ken Lizzel and Ernie Wiley. After taking out his own license in 1989, Brian had spells at Canterbury and Hackney before joining Brighton and Hove in 1995.

Brian is now one of the top trainers in the country and has finished in the top 6 of the Trainers Championship for the last 10 years. With 4 Derby Finalists (one 2nd, two 3rd's, one 4th) and 9 Derby Semi-Finalists he is rarely out of the big-race limelight.

Brian was top trainer at the Trainers Championship Meeting in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
